VHI will offer half price children from 22 August to 22 October inclusive on One Plan Family (new plan, €131 per child 1-3), Parents and Kids Excess (€131.38 per child 1-3), Teachers Plan Select (€136.87 per child 1-3) and Nurses Plan Select (€136.87 per child 1-3).

These premiums will apply to all new and renewing customers from this date.

This will offer Vhi customers great savings where children are concerned but they will continue to struggle on adult premiums for similarly good cover.  Overall offering for kids offer a lot of options for those renewing in the next 60 days.  However if you are Dublin based or living in the commuter belt, Aviva Health’s  ‘Family Focus ‘ plan is hard to beat for those children between 5 and 17 years of age as this plan offers up to €90 back for G.P visits while only costing €150 each for as long as the special offer remains.
