Aviva Health has amended their approved outpatient scan centre list to include the following two MRI scan centres as of 1st July 2011:

•  MRI scan centre in Portiuncula Hospital in Galway

•  MRI scan centre in Northwest Independent hospital in Ballykelly (Derry)

These changes will apply to all new and renewing customers from 1 July 2011

Aviva currently cover more MRI centres than either of the other 2 insurers and these additions further stretch their leave can be seen as evidence of their continued commitment to offer the most comprehensive level of outpatient care

Aviva still remains by far the best insurer in terms of choice for outpatient scans, this is particularly important for those people holding private health insurance and who live outside the major urban centres
